Surface treatment of golf balls

The secret of increasing flying distance of golf balls is having a great control of direction while golfing.

Surface processing is the process in which high-energy is exerted upon metal surface of machines to improve the hardness of its surface and its impact-resistance.

The bounciness of an object heavily depends on the hardness of its surface.

For example, let's say a person throws two identical balls with the same amount of force, one at a cardboard and one at a brick wall. Which will bounce back with more strength? The answer is obviously the one thrown at the brick wall because the wall is harder.

Similarly, the same principle applies to the contact between golf balls and the golf head as well. The hardness of the surface of a golf head can be nearly doubled from HV 320 to HV600 after STP processing, the golf ball can therefore fly farther distance, and its directional control will be improved.
After STP processing on titanium alloy ball head, its fly distance could increase to 30 yards

Most STP golf head users all agreed on the following:
1. The direction is easier to control, fairway is harder to curve.
2. Even if you didn’t hit the center of ball, the flying distance will not have too much difference.
3. Reduce all kinds of loss effectively.
